You may have noticed a new banner in the church building, hanging high over the chancel: a series of blue hues, representing the ocean, with all manner of creatures floating on it.

As part of our Weekend Away at Home, Sally Ashton led a group to create a banner on the weekend’s theme of Going Deeper with God. The sea goes darker and darker as you get deeper, and the creatures represent people seeking God, going deeper and deeper in a relationship with him.

At the bottom, they find the treasure that is Jesus!
