That special glow of candles and the smell of oranges… it’s #Christingle time!
This year with a difference… we will guide each family table through making your own Christingles during the service and enjoy a 40 minute time of interactive songs, story, puppets, crafts and prayers hosted by the #messychurch #messychristingle team.
Christingles are an old tradition where an orange is said to represent the world, with a candle in the top representing Jesus the light of the world and the red ribbon representing Jesus giving his life for the world.
There will be an opportunity to give to the work of The Children’s Society who work with vulnerable children and young people.
Messy Church in COVID times looks like this: We meet in church where there is more space. Families arrive and sit at their own table. Stay together at your table. Masks for 11 and over. Track and trace: we have our own QR code and we’ll take names and phone numbers on arrival. We enjoy time together in worship. Bring your own refreshments. Booking is essential using this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/messy-christingle-tickets-128128681335
Arrangements are subject to change as we comply with any restrictions at the time of the event.
