Have you ever wondered what goes on at PCC meetings; or are you even
aware that it exists?

The PCC (or rather grand sounding Parochial Church Council) is the
trustee body for Christ Church – all Anglican churches have one, and
they’re the places where key decisions relating to the resourcing of the
mission of the church are made. Typically we meet 6 times a year for 2
hours, and discuss matters relating to finance, staffing, buildings,
safeguarding and other resource issues. That may not sound wildly
exciting, but actually all of those things help shape our vision and
ensure we use what God has given us to the very best of our ability.

If we’re to function well, we need people like you – maybe you’ve got
experience in one of the areas mentioned above through your work, or
involvement with other groups, or maybe you’re just passionate about
seeing God’s purposes worked out in the church and surrounding
community. A new PCC, with up to 15 members from the Christ Church
family, alongside church wardens and clergy, will be elected at our
Annual Meeting after the 10.30 service on Sunday 26th April. There are
more details as to what’s involved on the leaflet attached, along with a
nomination form and instructions on how to complete it.
