An amazing opportunity to share our stories of faith and help others discover theirs…

Churches across Bristol are gearing up for unmissable event in September, bringing together music, film and amazing life-changing (and even life-saving) stories of faith, all in the awesome setting of Bristol Cathedral.

Archbishop Justin Welby will be among those speaking at Standing Room Only, exploring some of life’s biggest questions, in particular: “Where do you stand when life gets challenging?”

Dave Jeal, chaplain for Bristol Rovers, will also be there. A local boy with a notorious past, Dave is not the kind of person you’d expect to be sharing a stage with an archbishop.

Hear Dave and Justin’s stories and those of many others.

It’s going to be a relaxed evening with a few nibbles and drinks and a chance to bring along friends from outside our existing church communities who might be up for finding out a bit more about the way God changes lives. The event will also be a signpost to help connect people to courses like Alpha and Emmaus and to churches across the city to continue these conversations.

One thing it won’t be is preachy.

What it will be is an exciting opportunity for us to lift the lid on Christ and how he changes lives.

So your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to please bring a non-Christian friend. Or ten non-Christian friends, even better!

Find out more and book tickets at www.standing-room-only.org.uk. Tickets are free but it’s first come, first served, so get online and book now.

If you can help promote Standing Room Only on social media, you’ll find graphics for Facebook and Twitter at www.bristol.anglican.org/2014/standing-room-only-media-pack/. Our hashtag btw is #StandBristol. You’ll find other bits in our media pack too, like posters, flyers and photos. Use as you will!
