Downend Soup is our chance to support the local community to be moving forward with good ideas and mutual support, one bowl of soup and piece of cake at a time.

A micro- funding model which began in post- financial crash Detroit, the idea is that 3 local charities or entrepreneurs pitch their good idea and ask for funding. The audience have paid £5 to come along, enjoy good soup and cake, hear the pitches and vote for which one they feel is most deserving of their cash. The winning group gets to keep the proceeds and report back next time on how they used the money.

Downend Soup has not been able to run during the pandemic but we will bring news when we can.
