Christ Church is a community of very different people drawn together from the local area and further afield. It is a community of all ages which, like a family, expresses its life through relationships – with God, others and the wider world.
Our vision is that we might become a community that together is ‘learning to live the life’. We believe that a major part of our role is to help each person find their niche in the life of the church and play their part in making a real difference in the community and wider world.
If ‘life’ is a gift then we want to know how to make the most of it. This is a life-long journey with secrets to be shared. God’s life is to be lived in the whole of our lives – the home, the work place, places where there is pressure and failure, places of rest and relaxation.
We would love to hear about you, your passions, hobbies, work and commitments so that we can pray for you and help you find ways to be fruitful wherever God has placed you. We often call these places your “frontlines”: the places you spend most of your time outside church. We want to encourage you in the whole of life!
Christ Church is led by Dan Watts (Vicar) and Paul Peterson (Associate Minister) with a staff team, authorised lay ministers, Church Wardens and the Parochial Church Council.
The Parish Office (t: (0117) 908 9867) is the hub of administration at Christ Church and the first point of contact for anyone requesting information about a variety of aspects of church life. These include baptisms, weddings, funerals, service times and use of the Parish Hall and Church Centre.
