At a time when so many of us are facing significant challenges to our sense of wellbeing, Christ Church is piloting a number of resources to help support people from across the community.

The Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Course offers people the opportunity to experience:
- Safety and support where there is no shame and embarrassment in struggling
- An increase in self-worth, confidence and wellbeing
- A deeper understanding of the reality of God’s love for them
- Clear pathways to receive additional support if needed
Themes covered include; disappointment, loss, anxiety, anger perfectionism, shame and resilience.
Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups are being launched with our Elev8 and Elev8+ youth groups after February half term. Six members of the youth team have been trained up to lead these courses, with the likelihood of a wider roll out to the community after Easter. Further details will be available from Diane Paddon in due course.
The Wellbeing Journey – www.wellbeingjourney.org
On Monday evenings from 15th February we will be running the ‘Wellbeing Journey’ based on Dave Smith’s book ‘God’s plan for your wellbeing’. If you would like to be part of this group which will meet via zoom at 7.30pm every Monday up to Easter, contact Paul on paulpeterson@christchurchdownend.com
The video based course which runs for 8 sessions explores aspects of our personal and spiritual wellbeing in relation to 6 wellbeing dials – Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Relational, Financial and Vocational. It’s full of practical wisdom from experts and from ordinary people who have discovered healthy practices, and is accessible to people at all stages of their faith journey.
In each zoom session, we’ll watch a video together and then discuss it in small groups. You can watch the introductory video here.
The book which accompanies the course is available at the reduced price of £5, and takes the form of a 50 day study guide, with much of the Biblical material drawn from the life of Elijah the Old Testament prophet. Other course materials will be provided free to group members.
