Following on from the Prime Minister’s announcement earlier this evening, we are reflecting on the considerable implications for everyone at Christ Church and the wider community. It is highly likely that we will have to suspend services with immediate effect, but we are waiting on fuller guidance from the Church of England, before meeting on Wednesday morning to map out the way forward in terms of worship, practical pastoral support and community engagement. We will communicate further on Wednesday afternoon. These are challenging times and many of you will be feeling vulnerable, but we can take heart from the words in Romans 8 which remind us that ‘nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ Let’s be praying for one another and encouraging each other to stay faithful.
