Dear praying family,

It’s that time of the month when children, youth and adults, the Quakers Road Church congregation and the Parish Church congregations, brothers and sisters who can no longer physically get to the church buildings, and those who are away or thriving in pastures new, unite in prayer for a full 24 hours.

The One Church One Day theme for December is ‘The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.’

It begins at 7pm next Friday 1st December on Zoom for an hour of Prayer & Praise Together https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82670522846 The Mission Focus for December is our orphanage in India which Team India will be visiting on 14th December. Please find a list of prayer requests below.

There are as many different ways to pray as there are people in the world. Be free to spend your precious hour (or more!) with the Lord however you choose to. Maybe some will be writing Christmas cards, making or putting up decorations, or making/ planning/wrapping gifts! Maybe some will bake, walk, do housework, play, just sit and be with the Lord. Whatever we do it’s about being consciously present to the God who is constantly present to us, alongside 40-50 or more praying souls.

If you feel able to share any thoughts or reflections following your prayer time please do so, as it is such an encouragement and builds up the Body of Christ.

Team India, December 2023 Prayer Requests 

 

Please pray for healing for Prasant as he is unwell with malaria at present.

 

Please hold up the Yelchuri family in prayer as they run the orphanage, the school, the church and the outreach programmes without Prasant

 

Give thanks for Sagar’s recovery from a snake bite this week. We’ve known Sagar since he was 9. He’s now 15.

 

Please pray for God’s blessings on all the outreach in the mountain villages and in the local community over Christmas. Particularly for Campus Christmas when all the dignitaries will be invited in and hear the message of God’s love.

 

Please pray for all the children at Haven Home, their wellbeing, their education and for their faith to flourish.

 

Please hold up all the teaching staff at Haven Home as we prepare to work closely with them in planning and delivering various lessons

 

Please pray that the Music Train concert raising money for Music Train and Haven Home on Friday the 24th of November is successful.

 

Please pray for the health of our team leading up to our trip.

 

Please pray that all the final bits of planning and preparation go well, and that the team be guided by the Holy Spirit.

 

Please pray for the safe travel of all our team, and that the whole process of reaching Haven Home runs smoothly.
