Our 4th issue in our series “What does it look like to be Christ Church?” asks how we take seriously Jesus’ bias for the poor.

Nigel Stowe our preacher, and Leyla Fellows our CAP Centre Manager, helped us to connect helping those in need with Jesus’ command to love one another and to love God. As we learn more of how much God loves us, then we will naturally want to love others more. And there’s great power in loving in Jesus’ name, not just out of our own strength.

Follow Nigel’s questions here:

Or as a quick starter, what does it mean for you to radically love those facing poverty? What does it mean for the church to do so? What would need to change if we were to become a community truly welcoming for those struggling financially?
