As most of you will be aware, we have been following on the Whole Life Discipleship journey for some time now, and we’ve been encouraging other churches in the Diocese of Bristol to join in. LICC have helped the Diocese to run a second Learning Hub in 2017/18 along the lines of the one we took part in for 2016/17. We have even contributed to some of LICC’s resources on how to shape church to promote the idea of us all being disciples in our daily lives.

It’s catching on!

This helpful way of looking at faith and life and church is beginning to be adopted in more and more churches around the country. The Church of England has consulted with LICC and produced a report and resources called Setting God’s People Free.

You can read the report here. It contains many of the key words and ideas that LICC have used, and that those who’ve been coming to Christ Church will recognise.

It’s exciting to think that more and more Christians around the country are discovering that they have a unique role to play in spreading God’s Kingdom on earth. That each of us are missionaries with a Gospel to proclaim and a Jesus- like life to lead, in the place where God has put us right now. That each one of us is needed if we are to reach the UK for Christ.
